Panache
Join us as Panache takes you on a journey through popular music from bygone eras. Going back over 100 years, well before streaming services or the advent of readily accessible radio, you will hear samples of early jazz, Dixieland, swing, big band, popular dance music & early rock ’n’ roll.
For nearly 50 years, Panache has performed for audiences across Alberta. First performing under the lead of Richard Campion in the early 1980’s, Panache is an 8-piece band composed of local Albertan talent. Although Panache has evolved beyond its original founders, one of them remains an active member of the group.
Imitating the jazz combos of the day, Panache’s bass line falls to the tuba, which supports the brass section consisting of trombone & trumpets. Featured in the woodwinds are the tenor & alto saxophone, which are occasionally supplemented by the clarinet. The songs comes to life with keyboard & percussion tying all the melodies together.
Don’t miss your chance as Panache will have you swinging out of your seats and onto the dance floors of the 1950’s & beyond.
