The Beaumont Society School of Dance & Beaumont School of Highland Dance

The Beaumont Society School of Dance (BSSD) was formed in 1975.  Run by parent volunteers, BSSD offers a multitude of dance disciplines, from classical to hip hop. Many students graduated to distinguished ballet schools incl. the National Ballet School in Toronto and some built a career in the dance industry.

The Beaumont School of Highland Dance (or BSHD) had its humble beginnings 19 years ago with a single family and 4 students. Since then BSHD has grown to more than 100 highland dance students, competing in local, provincial, national and even international competitions, such as the Canadian National Championships, and was nominated for a North American-wide scholarship competition with a top 3 placing in 2019 & 2021.
