Calmar Secondary School presents Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Inspired by the hit film, this Broadway classic features music by Alan Menken (The Little Mermaid), book by Linda Woolverton (The Lion King), and lyrics by Howard Ashman (Aladdin) and Tim Rice (Aida).
After an unfortunate encounter with an Enchantress, a spoiled Prince is transformed into a beast. His only hope of breaking the spell is to fall in love and be loved in return. Meanwhile, Belle lives in a small village and struggles to fit in. She longs for a life of adventure, like the ones she has read about in her books. When Belle bravely strikes a deal with the Beast in order to save her father, both Belle and the Beast begin a journey that will transform them forever.
